Making History
News — 12 Dec 2009
Making History is an exhibition designed to celebrate the Tercentenary of the Society of Antiquaries. Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, it opened at the Royal Academy in 2007. Since then, a reduced version of the exhibition, incorporating local content, has been touring English museums. It is the largest touring show in the UK and is currently in Sunderland, having been to Salisbury and Stoke. Its final destination is Lincoln, opening on 16 October until the end of the year.
Stiff + Trevillion designed and managed the project reusing the original RA vitrines and cases, demonstrating how these types of shows can be sustainable by reducing waste.
