Newson's Yard Launches

Today, 1st November 2023, Newson's Yard, our project for Grosvenor, formally opened its doors to welcome design lovers from across the Capital to the new heart of the Pimlico Design Destination. As part of the launch event, Mike Stiff formed part of a panel of design experts discussing the history of Pimlico, Belgravia and Newson's Yard itself.

A former timber yard, Newon's Yard was built in the nineteenth century on a landlocked site in central London. With many independent makers, dealers and designers basing themselves nearby, the repaired building acts as a focal point for the Pimlico Road Design District. Entered through a low entrance between shops, the airy, double-ended central arcade has been retained with retail spaces and eating places arranged either side. The original brickwork, restored Victorian metal structure and timber-framed rooflight set the tone for a design community-focused hub centered on originality, quality and sustainability.

The development is a celebration of British craftsmanship, bringing together world-leading interior designers and brands for the first time, including Nina Campbell, Modernity, And Objects, Plain English and The Lacquer Company. It will also be home to Wildflowers & Wine, a brand new restaurant concept.
