Scoot Into Jamie's Italian
News — 12 Dec 2009
Following on from the success of Jamie Oliver's restaurant Jamie's Italian in Bath, S+T are now busy creating the Guildford and Leeds editions.
The design of Bath (pictured) reflects the origins of traditional Italian cuisine with an emphasis on re-use of materials. Torn wallpaper and exposed stone add to the detailed, rustic interior of the listed building.
The restaurant in Guildford takes its inspiration from 50's icons such as the Lambretta Scooter. Exposed concrete and raw materials will coincide with splashes of strong enamelled colour. The kitchen is a focal point in shiny, red lavastone situated alongside reclaimed timber and electric blue booths. Images to come in the next edition of S+T e-news.
