Sydney Contemporary 2017 Carriageworks 7 - 10 September

Stiff + Trevillion have again been appointed Show Architects for the third edition of Sydney Contemporary, Australasia's premier international art fair. The show runs from 7 - 10 September and takes place at the Carriageworks, Sydney. The art fair has quickly established itself as a major cultural event for the city as well as an essential venue for collectors.

Responsible for the design of the entrance and ticketing areas, VIP lounge and theatre cafe, Stiff + Trevillion have focused on light sustainable materials reflecting the diverse and eclectic range of artwork on show. The entrance area also features an installation by artist, Robyn Stacey 'Double Take' a walk-in 'camera obscura' that inverts a real-time 'cinematic projection' of the exterior view onto its interior walls, ceiling and floor.

Sydney contemporary welcomes over 90 galleries from around the Pacific Rim alongside an ambitious five-day program that includes curated exhibitions, ground-breaking installations, engaging panel discussions, experimental video art as well Sydney’s hottest restaurants.
