Devon House, St. Katharine’s Dock, London

The aim behind this refurbishment was to reposition the building – a pastiche warehouse designed in the 1980s – to attract a new tenant profile. Located on the Thames at St Katharine Docks, it has an enviable location next to the marina entrance. We delivered the upgrade with a light touch, retaining the existing cores and exposing both services and soffits to create volume on the office floors. The reception – which doubles as a public right of way onto the riverside terrace – has become a relaxed lounge and café space, paved with brick to connect outside and in.
